The Next One-Day Retreat will be on Sunday, September 17, 2017

THE NEXT ONE-DAY RETREAT OF THE RHINEBECK INSIGHT MEDITATION GROUP WILL TAKE PLACE AT OUR HOME (141 Lamoree Rd, Rhinebeck, NY 12572) ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 17, 2017, FROM 9AM TO 5:30PM, led by JOSE REISSIG.

There will be no need to register. The retreat will be free of charge, and we will offer no food except for tea and cookies. You are welcome to bring your own lunch.

Schedule: The opening session will start at 9am. It is important to attend it because it will include instructions on practical matters and on the meditation practice itself. Throughout the morning, after the opening session, there will be alternating periods for sitting, for walking and for a Dharma talk by Jose. The lunch period will be from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. In the afternoon we will again alternative sitting with walking periods, including one for an Inquiry. All of this, from 9am to 5pm, will be in silence -- except for the Inquiry and the occasional interview some of you may request to have with Jose. Then, from 5 to about 5:30pm, where will be opportunities for networking among the participants.

You are, of course, free to leave before 5 if you need to.

A Note: Starting with this retreat, Jose's Dharma talks will be shortened to about 15 minutes in order to take into account the fact that Jose is getting on in years. And, furthermore these short talks will no longer be recorded for posting at the Dharmaseed website.

What to bring: If you prefer to sit on the floor, please bring a cushion or a setting bench, and a zabuton or a blanket to place underneath (we have a limited supply or those items). As for chairs, we hope we have enough for all who wish to sit on them. But, just in case we don't, here is a proposal. If your car is pretty empty and you have a chair at home, which fits easily into the car, please bring it in case we run out of chairs. But when you arrive here, please leave it in your car until you or someone else needs it.
